About The Trainer
Valaree DonFrancesco started riding in early childhood which laid the foundation for a deep love and passion for everything equine-related. During middle school and high school she began as a working student at an up-and-coming "A" circuit barn in Connecticut, specializing in training, showing, and selling green horses. She soon moved on to retraining off-the-track thoroughbreds with Akindale Thoroughbred Rescue before branching off to help retrain slaughter-bound horses find a second lease on life, mentoring with natural horsemanship trainer Dru Bennett, and attending Delaware Valley College to study Animal Science: Equine Science & Management and earning her BHS certification.
Through all of her time working with horses, Valaree has developed a passion for teaching and emphasizes on safety and reaching individual goals. Valaree is currently taking the steps to become PATH certified and will have her instructors certification at the end of the year.
Valaree has worked with a variety of breeds such as; quarter horses, off the track thoroughbreds, ponies, drafts, Irish sport horses, miniatures, and crossbreeds - young and old.

"Horses have taught me the most valuable lessons in life: patience may be hard but never impossible. And even though goals sometimes seem out of reach they are always worth the wait. Things always get better."
